A release gives production something fixed to work from.

It is not the working design. Production keeps using it until another release is created.

Release 3 doesn't move. Everything produced from it points back to it.

WORKING DESIGN

Design has changed since Release 3.

Those changes belong to the working design. Release 3 stays unchanged, and its production runs still point back to it.

Production works from what the release actually contains.

Not a description of the product. The release carries the surfaces, artwork, placement, and vendor requirement production needs.

The same mark, at production scale.

The artwork is now physical: teal ink on black cotton at its actual chest placement.

Every production run traces back to one release.

Each run stays connected to the release production used for it.

One release. A traceable physical result.
